If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. My husband comes here once in a while for lunch during work hours so he’s talked about it several times. He finally got the chance to bring me and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the customer service was great and the aesthetic was super cute. My absolute favorite part was the pot sink in the bathroom lol. I thought it was so creative. Can’t wait to come back.
Taco Masa is a hidden gem not your average tacos portions well served and the decorations all over the restaurant is cover with Mexican actors that we grew up watching their shows staff is hella friendly and if you don’t want to make drive to SD for tacos el gordo this spot does the job hand made tortillas pastor from el trompo
This place, food-wise, is okay. Salsa was not spicy enough, adobada was a little too greasy, and the burrito was 15 dollars before tax and tip, with no chips and salsa. It's kind of a pricy place besides what some would consider a mom and pop hole-in-the-wall joint. What really made me draw to the 5 stars was the stellar service and friendly staff, and honestly experiences are what make food the difference between good and bad. We ordered a adobada burrito, for myself and my partner to share. It was big enough for us to share, but we're both skinny people who don't eat much so the portion size would be big enough for one person. We were asked about if we wanted to add cheese to the burrito, and we decided on it due to the recommendation by the staff member, but unfortunately we couldn't find any cheese. They have an open-style kitchen and I was able to see the cheese they use for their menu, but either the cheese was missing, or there was not enough to where we were wondering where it was. After eating, the same staff member asked me how it was and I told her about the issue with the cheese for future customers, and without hesitation she offered to make a new one to make it right for us. We declined but she insisted, and to me that speaks true hospitality and guest service. While the food could have been better, especially for the price, I will be coming back for the stellar guest experience I had. Thank you Josie for looking out for your customers!
These just might be the best tacos in the OC!If you want the exact taste of Tijuana, this place is for you! These are without a doubt the best tacos I’ve had outside Tijuana! Taco Masa grills most of their meats over mesquite charcoal and the meats especially their carne Asada really has a nice smoky flavor to it. While, this place may be a little pricey for some people the quality in the flavor of the food makes up and it’s worth every penny.
Very friendly, good environment and great food/cocktails. They have a tortilla master that pumps out fresh corn tortillas! Get more for your money on some good fresh food! Ivan is awesome, friendly and goes out of his way to help customers.
It sounds like you had a mixed experience with the food. The asada burrito had well-marinated but chewy meat, and the side of rice and beans was small. This place has me saying "taco 'bout a good time!" I'm ready to declare every day "Taco Tuesday" at this joint. The tacos are a fiesta for the taste buds—perfectly balanced with mouthwatering meat, handmade tortillas that won't leave you in a masa mess, and that delightful charcoal-kissed flavor. The pastor is so good, it's preaching to my stomach! And let's talk about the bathrooms—cleanliness fit for a taco royalty! They've even got Mexican sayings to ponder while you ponder your food coma. The spacious interior and outdoor seating make for a comfy taco oasis. Plus, that open kitchen lets you witness the taco magic happening right before your eyes. Even the chicken, which I never thought I'd taco 'bout, was a flavorful surprise. This place is the real deal—taco 'bout a gem!
Great vibes from this new joint. It was like a combination of a 50s diner and a taco shop. Still a bit chaotic ordering during lunch, but overall it was not too bad. The restaurant was cleaned and spacious, plenty of seating inside and out. Foods were good, the biggest surprise though was how well the margaritas were. Service was excellent. Love how attentive the staffs were. Definitely will be hitting this up this joint on a regular basis.
Excellent Mexican fast food! I had the asada burrito, and it was delicious. The meat was well-marinated and tender. All the other ingredients were fresh and tasty. My wife had the adobada tacos, and they were also very tasty. Service was fast and corteous. The place is very clean. I'll definitely be back.
